Wilfred & Eunice

Wilfred & Eunice

Today we went to meet the extended family of Wilfred and Eunice Okech. They have 6 children and will be baptized soon. Baptizing a family like this is a very rare occurrence. We drove to their village to meet the families and verify their traditional marriage. It was a great experience. We drove deep into the bush, down a long foot path that was not intended for our truck. But all went well.

A very kind gift.

When we prepared to leave, Wilfred’s uncle caught a big chicken and passed it into the back seat of our truck as a gift. Such a gift is a very significant sacrifice, and we expressed our gratitude.
